Abstract: Papillary thyroid carcinoma , It is a relatively common well differentiated thyroid cancer ,Accounts for 85% of all thyroid cancers. Most thyroid cancers are sporadic, but familial and genetic syndromes exist, and they have distinct pathological features such as psammoma body . Symptoms may vary from asymptomatic (accidental finding of nodule on radiological exam for other reason) to firm non tender nodule in thyroid area . Diagnosis is typically based on history and clinical examination, imaging modalities such as ultrasonography, and, when necessary, CT. F.N.A cytology . Treatment strategies include an assessment of lymph node involvements ( which present in 50 % of pt ) , total thyroidectomy, and +- neck dissection .post op radioiodine ablation . Early diagnosis and appropriate management are essential for improving outcomes.
